Thank you for all your help. I did not think it would be possible to feel the way I do at the moment. I had lost much of my confidence through a relationship breakdown, stress at work and feeling pretty low. CBT has worked wonders for me. I still get some days that I find challenging but I now know how to catch my negative thoughts and try to think in a more helpful way about the situations I find myself in. As somebody who was sceptical of CBT as a method of dealing with my anxiety, which I have had for many years but tried to keep hidden, I found you very easy to talk and discuss my issues with. I was a bit unsure at first what to expect as I had never been for therapy before. You quickly put me at my ease and I felt able to talk about my issues. Life's pretty good at the moment, having been through some fairly tough times. I found trying to cope in my own way was failing badly, my stepdaughter had very good results with CBT so I thought I'd give it a go. Fear of flying was my initial reason for contacting you, however, it soon became clear the death of my parents in quick succession had hit me considerably harder than I first thought. Talking to you, as a neutral outsider, so to speak enabled me to quickly come to terms with one or two demons I had regarding my parents death i.e. blaming myself, could I have done more etc etc. The answer was I did everything I could I just needed to change the way I thought about what was going on at the time, that's where CBT came in, the strange thing is by just talking things through with a third party it all suddenly becomes very clear, I now feel I can find closure and get on with life. Many many thanks for all your help I couldn't have done it without you. PS I am now looking forward to some nice holidays abroad too forgot to mention this as sorted my fear of flying too...Best wishes Steve T
